College of Engineering
The College of Engineering provides education for global competitiveness through its offerings of two (2) programs: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) and Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSECE). Both are five-year ladderized technician-based engineering programs which are anchored on the same concept of technician education and training system that Technological University of the Philippines was known to have pioneered. The College takes in the most qualified freshmen aspirants and admits only the Top 200 for the BSME and BSECE slots. Each program confers technician certificates to students after the three-year completion of the curricular requirements which include 32 weeks of Supervised Industrial Training. The graduates are given the chance to continue studying for two more years to obtain a degree in BSME or BSECE upon compliance with the prescribed curriculum. The College is headed by a Program Coordinator and assisted by the Department in-Charge for each program, and the Laboratories in-Charge.
The Program Coordinator supervises, directs, coordinates, and monitors the proper implementation of the curricular offering in the College. He also prepares development plans or programs for the improvement of the College in terms of facilities and faculty members.
